Thomas Graf von Kanitz (*1945) studied industrial enginieering (mechanical) and business at the Technical University of Berlin. From 1974 to 1981 he was employed at Dres. Brönner Treuhand-Revision GmbH in Berlin. From 1981 he worked as an auditor and tax advisor in Freiburg, initially as the manager of a medium-size firm of auditors. In 1984 he established his own firm, which in 1991 became the nationwide, interdisciplinary firm of Graf Kanitz Lieder Härtel (until 2001). Together with Dr. Matthias Schüppen and other partners, he set up the partnership company GRAF KANITZ, SCHÜPPEN & PARTNER in January 2006.

Graf Kanitz specialises in business management and tax advice for the setting-up, restructuring and reorganisation of companies under German and international tax law; He is also an expert/consultant on the preparation of accounts, valuation and business management, trusteeship and execution of wills, advisory board and supervisory board affairs.
